Description

In the Marble Hall of Schloss Mirabell, the Ensemble 1756, a chamber music ensemble founded in Salzburg, presents a concert together with solo violinist Kamilė Kubiliūtė, dedicated to the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The program spans from Mozart's early Salzburg Divertimento in D major K. 136 to mature masterpieces such as the Serenade in G major K. 525 "Eine kleine Nachtmusik" and the Violin Concerto in A major K. 219. Mozart's compositions are characterized by clarity, elegance, and emotional depth—ranging from dance-like lightness to operatic expressiveness.

A contrasting finale is provided by Pablo de Sarasate's "Zigeunerweisen" op. 20, a work full of passion and virtuosity inspired by Hungarian-Romani musical tradition. As a soloist, Kamilė Kubiliūtė shapes the program with technical precision and great expressive diversity. The violin takes on the role of a lyrical voice and virtuosic narrator in dialogue with the strings, while Ensemble 1756 brings Mozart's sound worlds to life with stylistic awareness and interpretive curiosity.
