In the historic Marble Hall of Schloss Mirabell, one of Salzburg's most significant concert halls, the Mozart Consort Salzburg presents a concert featuring works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonín Dvořák. Founded in Salzburg in 1999, the ensemble primarily focuses on Mozart's music and that of his contemporaries, but also performs Baroque and Romantic works.
The program includes Mozart's March in D major K. 290, the Divertimento in D major K. 205, and the well-known Serenade in G major K. 525 "Eine kleine Nachtmusik." After the intermission, Dvořák's Cello Concerto in B minor Op. 104 follows, with Matthias Beckmann as the soloist. The musicians of the ensemble have a long tradition of making music together, including performances with the Mozarteum Orchestra or at the Salzburg Festival.
