Description

In the baroque Marble Hall of Mirabell Palace, where the Mozart family once performed for the Archbishops of Salzburg, works from the 18th century resound on original instruments. The Ensemble 1756 presents Mozart’s Salzburg Divertimenti in D major (KV 136) and F major (KV 138), as well as Vivaldi’s Four Seasons—a solo work for violin, performed by Florian Moser. Founded in Salzburg in 2006, the ensemble is dedicated to historically informed performance practice and creates a contemporary sound of rare homogeneity with balanced, historically inspired instrumentation. A concert that brings the music of the Baroque era to life.
