Palace Concert Featuring Works by Vivaldi and Mozart

In the baroque Marble Hall of Mirabell Palace, where the Mozart family once performed for the Archbishops of Salzburg, Ensemble 1756 presents a concert on period instruments. The program combines Mozart’s cheerful and elegant Salzburg Divertimenti in D major (KV 136) and F major (KV 138) with Vivaldi’s famous Four Seasons—a cycle that transforms images of nature into musical poetry.

Founded in 2006, the ensemble is dedicated to the authentic interpretation of Baroque music and impresses with its distinctive sound, shaped by historical performance practice and balanced instrumentation. With Florian Moser on the Baroque violin, the concert resonates in the tradition of great Baroque orchestras, captivating audiences with precision and expressive power. A sonic journey into the 18th century, further intensified by the unique acoustics of the Marble Hall.
