Description

Within the historic walls of the Marble Hall, where the Mozart family once made music, the Ensemble 1756 brings together two musical worlds on this evening. The program spans from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s early and mature works – including the cheerful "Salzburg Symphony" K. 136, the expressive Piano Quartet in G minor K. 478, and the iconic "Eine kleine Nachtmusik" K. 525 – to George Gershwin’s "Rhapsody in Blue," which blends classical tradition with jazzy vitality.

The ensemble, whose members perform in leading orchestras, interprets the pieces with chamber-music precision and lively dialogue. At the piano, Minka Popovic bridges these styles with technical mastery and emotional depth. A concert that contrasts the timeless elegance of Mozart with the rhythmic energy of Gershwin – and brings the hall’s unique acoustics to life.
