Palace Concert Featuring Works by Mozart and Gershwin

The Ensemble 1756, composed of graduates from the Mozarteum Salzburg, and pianist Minka Popovic create an evening that bridges two musical worlds. With stylistic precision and chamber music vitality, Mozart's works resound in various facets: the youthful elegance of the 'Salzburg Symphony' in D major KV 136, the dramatic depth of the Piano Quartet in G minor KV 478, and the timeless lightness of the Serenade in G major KV 525 'Eine kleine Nachtmusik.'

The evening concludes with George Gershwin's 'Rhapsody in Blue,' a work that unites classical tradition with jazzy rhythms and orchestral color. Minka Popovic shapes the dialogue between the eras with her expressiveness and lends the concert in the historic Marble Hall of Mirabell Palace a special sonic perspective—a hall that itself is a witness to musical history.
