Description

In the historic Marble Hall of Schloss Mirabell, where the Mozart family once performed for the Salzburg archbishops, the Mozart Consort Salzburg presents a concert featuring works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonín Dvořák. Founded in 1999, the ensemble primarily focuses on Mozart’s oeuvre and the music of his contemporaries, though its repertoire also extends to Baroque and Romantic periods.

The program includes Mozart’s "March in D Major K. 290," the "Divertimento in D Major K. 205," and the world-famous "Serenade in G Major K. 525 'Eine kleine Nachtmusik'." Following the intermission, Dvořák’s "Concerto for Cello and Strings in B Minor Op. 104," performed by Matthias Beckmann, will be featured. The musicians of the ensemble have a long-standing history of collaboration, including performances with the Mozarteum Orchestra and at the Salzburg Festival. Program subject to change.
