Description

In the magnificent Marble Hall of Mirabell Palace, one of Salzburg's most historically significant concert halls, Ensemble 1756, together with solo oboist Emmanuelle Lalancette, presents a Mozart program of extraordinary expressiveness. The concert spans various creative phases of the composer—from the youthful lightness of the Divertimento in D major KV 136 to the mature elegance of the Serenade in G major KV 525, better known as 'Eine kleine Nachtmusik' (A Little Night Music).

At the heart of the program are Mozart's Oboe Concerto in C major KV 314 and the Quartet for Oboe and Strings in F major KV 370. Here, the oboe unfolds its characteristic, lyrical sound and engages in a lively dialogue with the ensemble. Ensemble 1756, whose members were predominantly trained at the Mozarteum Salzburg, combines chamber music precision with tonal diversity. Virtuosic solo passages alternate with finely coordinated ensemble sections, promising a captivating listening experience.
