Description

The Beija-Flor String Quartet, consisting of Haruna Shinoyama (violin), Tobias Aan (violin), Samuel Poblete (viola), and Ema Krečič (cello), brings together musical traditions from four continents in its program "Sounds of the World." Alongside Mozart’s String Quartet in G Major, K. 387, works from Japan, Chile, Slovenia, and Australia will be performed—including the world premiere of a Chilean composition, the title of which will be announced later. As Featured Artists 26/27 of the Mozarteum Foundation, the quartet’s musicians present diverse cultural influences and demonstrate the rich diversity of string quartet music. An evening that makes the musical roots of Asia, South America, Europe, and Australia audible.
