Description

In the magnificent marble hall of Schloss Mirabell, once the venue for musical performances by the Mozart family, Ensemble 1756 presents a concert that bridges two musical worlds. Under the direction of Minka Popovic on the solo piano, Mozart’s "Salzburg Symphony" in D major K. 136, the Piano Quartet in G minor K. 478, and the famous serenade "Eine kleine Nachtmusik" will be performed. These works reflect Mozart’s compositional mastery—from youthful lightness to dramatic depth.

After the intermission, George Gershwin’s "Rhapsody in Blue" follows, a piece that fuses classical tradition with jazzy modernity. Ensemble 1756, made up of musicians trained at the Mozarteum Salzburg, captivates with stylistic precision and lively dialogue. The evening promises a bridge between eras: from Mozart’s timeless elegance to Gershwin’s exhilarating energy.
