In the baroque Marble Hall of Mirabell Palace, one of Salzburg's most beautiful and historically significant concert halls, music from the 18th century resounds on period instruments. The Ensemble 1756, founded in Salzburg in 2006, is dedicated to the authentic interpretation of Baroque works with stylistic precision. Under the direction of Florian Moser, Baroque violin, the program features Mozart's early Salzburg Divertimenti in D major KV 136 and F major KV 138, as well as Antonio Vivaldi's world-famous 'Four Seasons.'
The ensemble impresses with its characteristic sound, created through historical performance practice and balanced instrumentation. With performances in renowned venues such as the Mozarteum Salzburg or the National Center for the Performing Arts in Beijing, it has established itself internationally as one of the leading Baroque orchestras. The evening in the Marble Hall promises a special experience, where the Mozart family once performed for the Salzburg archbishops—a place that uniquely combines history and music.
