Description

In the magnificent Marble Hall of Mirabell Palace, one of the world's most beautiful Baroque concert halls, a festive program featuring works by Mozart, Lanner, and Johann Strauss II will resound during the New Year's Eve Gala. The Mozart Consort Salzburg will perform Mozart's 'A Little Night Music' and a Cello Concerto in D major, while the second half of the concert will be dedicated to the waltzes and polkas of Johann Strauss II – including 'Roses from the South' and 'Vienna Blood'. Soprano Julia Arsentjeva will accompany the ensemble.

Founded in 1999, the Mozart Consort Salzburg brings together musicians with many years of experience in renowned Salzburg ensembles. Their repertoire ranges from Mozart and the Viennese Classical period to Baroque and Romantic music. The concert takes place in a hall where the Mozart family once performed for the Archbishops of Salzburg – a historic setting for a musical fireworks display. Please note that program changes are subject to reservation.
