In the historic Marble Hall of Schloss Mirabell, one of the world's most significant Baroque concert halls, the ensemble 1756, together with internationally renowned solo clarinetist Marius Birtea, presents a concert exclusively dedicated to the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The program spans various creative phases of the composer: from the youthful and light Salzburg Divertimento in D major K. 136, through the lyrical Clarinet Quintet in A major K. 581, to the dramatic overture to "Le Nozze di Figaro" K. 492. The highlight of the evening is Mozart's famous Clarinet Concerto in A major K. 622, a work of unparalleled warmth and elegance.
The ensemble 1756, whose members trained at the Mozarteum Salzburg, combines chamber music refinement with a vibrant ensemble culture. The flexible line-ups—from trio to chamber orchestra—guarantee a rich interpretation that brings Mozart's music to life in all its facets.
