In the magnificent marble hall of Schloss Mirabell, one of the world's most historically significant concert halls, the Mozart Consort Salzburg invites you to a festive evening. Founded in 1999, this ensemble, whose members perform with the Mozarteum Orchestra and at the Salzburg Festival, dedicates itself with passion to the works of Mozart and his contemporaries. On this evening, Mozart’s Salzburg Divertimento in D major, K. 136, his famous Serenade in G major, K. 525 "Eine kleine Nachtmusik," as well as compositions by Leopold Mozart, Albinoni, Vivaldi, and Handel will be performed.
A special highlight of the program is Vivaldi’s Concerto for Harp and Strings in D major, RV 93, and Handel’s Concerto for Harp and Strings in B-flat major, Op. 4/6, interpreted by harpist Laura Laszloffy. The combination of Baroque elegance with classical lightness promises a musical experience in a unique setting – once the stage for performances by the Mozart family for the Salzburg archbishops.
