Palace Concert Featuring Works by Mozart in the Marble Hall

In the baroque Marble Hall of Mirabell Palace, one of Salzburg's most beautiful and historically significant concert halls, this evening will feature exclusively works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Ensemble 1756, founded in Salzburg and composed of graduates from the Mozarteum, combines chamber music finesse with a vibrant ensemble culture.

The program spans from Mozart's early Salzburg Divertimento in D major KV 136 to his mature masterpieces such as the Clarinet Quintet in A major KV 581 and the overture to "Le Nozze di Figaro" KV 492. The highlight of the evening is the Clarinet Concerto in A major KV 622, performed by solo clarinetist Marius Birtea. The concerto is considered one of the most beautiful works in the clarinet repertoire and is distinguished by its lyrical warmth and technical elegance. A resonant homage to Mozart's diverse oeuvre.
