Palace Concert Featuring Works by Mozart in the Marble Hall

In the Baroque Marble Hall of Schloss Mirabell, the musicians of Ensemble 1756, together with solo oboist Emmanuelle Lalancette, present a Mozart program of exceptional diversity. Founded in Salzburg and performing in various chamber music formations, the ensemble combines precise interplay with vibrant sound. The oboe takes center stage, its lyrical tone and nuanced expressiveness shaping the musical dialogue with the ensemble.

The concert spans a wide arc through Mozart’s oeuvre: from the overture to Le Nozze di Figaro K. 492, through the youthful Divertimento in D major K. 136, to the mature Eine kleine Nachtmusik K. 525. Highlights include the Oboe Quartet in F major K. 370 and the Oboe Concerto in C major K. 314 for oboe and strings. Technical brilliance and emotional depth come together to create a captivating sound experience in one of the world’s most historically significant concert halls.
